Our ambition is to develop Smart Co as the leading firm to tackle the IT challenges and capability gap within the IT Connected World.

We are now looking for a g Business Development Manager - Consulting to further expand our offering within new and existing clients. This role will operate within the senior IT community to uncover the challenges and work closely with our inhouse Director of Consulting, Director of Architecture consulting and Head of Domain Practice lead to provide tailored consulting and managed services for programmes and teams. You will be focused within on-trend markets across Architecture, AI, Analytics and IOT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To build relationships at the CXO and technical leadership level to unearth IT challenges

  • Win key strategic service led contracts 

  • Prepare and write bids and RFPs

  • Manage and track ongoing leads and opportunities

  • Collaborate closely with our inhouse and associate community to shape consultancy offerings.

Person Specification/Requirements:

  • Strong sales ability, influencing and value based selling capability

  • Background in consultancy where the focus has been on services instead of product.

  • Demonstrate the ability to operate at C-Suite level and/or board level 

  • Understanding of the connected customer market particularly within the IOT, AI & Data and Security markets desirable
